Maa Vaishno Devi Temple is situated around 3km away from the city centre on top of Durgapur Hill. It is said to be built on the lines of Vaisno Devi Temple of Karta in Jammu. The temple was built in 2003 to host the presiding deities namely, Goddess Kali, Goddess Lakshmi and Goddess Saraswati.
