Arrival at Bhubaneswar Airport/hotel. Our representative meets you at the airport and transfers you to your hotel. After lunch, we will take you to some of the famous stores in Bhubaneswar, government cooperative shops most likely where you can see all the famous textiles of Odisha under one roof. Overnight in Hotel.
At morning drive to Dhenkanal. On the way, we will stop by at Nuapatna textile village, famous for Double Ikat Weaving technique. Later visit Sadeibareni Dhokra craft village, the villagers use the lost wax technique to make small figures. In the evening will be spent with the sadhus of the Mahima sect at Joranda monastery. The evening rituals are very interesting and we recommend all our travelers to be a part of this. Overnight at Dhenkanal.
Morning drive towards Sambalpur, which place famous for its sarees. In the evening you will check into the hotel. The day is free for sightseeing in Sambalpur. You can see the famous leaning temple of Huma on this day. Overnight in hotel.
After breakfast, visit some of the handloom weavers’ villages. The double-sided Ikat designs, woven in colored of silver and gold threads, common in Sambalpur textiles and handlooms. Then leave for Boudh. Boudh is famous for silk Bomkai saree, tie & dye cotton saree and silk tie & dye saree. In the evening visit the market for shopping for some of these fabulous sarees. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, drive to Sagarpali silk and cotton weaving factory. The purpose to visit Sagarpali is to get a basic idea of design developments on textiles and to see the kind of training that is given to students by the master craftsmen. Further, drive towards Sonepur to see how natural ingredients are used for dying process. Drive to Bolangir. Overnight at Hotel.
After breakfast, drive back to Bhubaneswar. Overnight in hotel.
At morning check-out the hotel and depart for an onward journey with sweet memories.
