Darjeeling is a town in India’s West Bengal state, in the Himalayan foothills. Once a summer resort for the British Raj elite, it remains the terminus of the narrow-gauge Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, or “Toy Train,” completed in 1881. It’s famed for the distinctive black tea grown on plantations that dot its surrounding slopes. Its backdrop is Mt. Kanchenjunga, among the world’s highest peaks.
This Tour Package includes fooding, hotel stay, all Pick-up and drop transfers from Airport/Railway Station, all transfers from hotel to hotel and all Sightseeing tours as mentioned in the Itinerary.
Meet and Greet on arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station/ Bagdogra International Airport and transfer to Darjeeling ((7380 Ft / 2250 Mts). On arrival Check-in hotel and rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
After breakfast transfer to Mirik (4905 Ft / 1495 Mts, 50 Kms / 02 Hrs one way). Full day excursion of Pashupati Nagar (Indo-Nepal border) for shopping & Mirik Lake (Horse riding & Boat is available around the lake on direct payment basis). Evening back to Darjeeling. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Early morning tour to Tiger Hills (8364 Ft / 2550 Mts at around 4 AM) to view sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak (subject to clear weather). On way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop. After breakfast go for a half-day sightseeing of Japanese Temple, Peace pagoda, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park & Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Darjeeling Ropeway Ride (Ticket cost not included & will be approx INR 180.00 per person) Tenzing & Gombu Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center (Closed on Sunday) & panoramic view of Tea Estate. Overnight stay in Hotel at Darjeeling.
After breakfast, Check-out from hotel and transfer to NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport for your return journey back home with wonderful memories.
